As the largest provider of home care services in the county, the hospital's home care agency offers: skilled nursing; high-tech services; physical, occupational and speech therapy; dysphasia therapy; nutritional therapy; medical social services; home health aide services; and psychiatric nursing services.

Jersey City Community Project
A program based on the "Harm Reduction Model" that provides a drop in center for homeless individuals who are at great risk of substance abuse and HIV. This center provides food, showers and laundry facilities for these clients. In addition, counseling and referral services are provided. Nutrition Counseling
An outpatient program that offers medical nutrition therapy for patients with Medicare Part B for: diabetes type I, diabetes type II, gestational diabetes and non-dialysis kidney disease; general nutrition counseling is available for: weight loss, diabetes, heart disease, healthy eating, pediatric patients and gastrointestinal conditions. A Hudson County program that provides counseling, advocacy and referral services for incest and rape victims of 13 years of age and up. This program is sponsored by the behavioral health department.

Safe Syringe Disposal Program
A free program offered to the community that ensures the needles of diabetics and other injection-dependent individuals do not hurt their families or the environment. Christ Hospital provides the reusable, durable containers from Bio Systems for home disposal of syringes. These containers are large enough so that the syringes do not need to be broken. When the container is full, it can be brought to the hospital, and exchanged for a new one. The program is sponsored by the hospital's environmental services department.

Volunteer Services Program
Programs primarily for high school students and senior citizens whereby local high schools refer students to participate in mandatory community service hours at Christ Hospital through the junior volunteer program, and seniors are provided with the opportunity to serve the hospital.
