Message from the President and CEO
I am pleased to announce that the transfer of ownership of Christ Hospital to Hudson Hospital Opco LLC, the owner of both Bayonne Medical Center and Hoboken University Medical Center became effective on July 13, 2012, when the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services (NJDHSS) and the New Jersey Attorney General granted their final approval to the transfer the operating license.
This transfer of ownership signals a new era of financial stability for Christ Hospital, allowing our institution to continue to fulfill its mission of providing accessible and high quality health care services to the citizens of Jersey City and Hudson County. It also allows us to move forward with capital improvements to the facility, which will result in the most advanced medical technology available.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our physicians, employees, patients, and community members who have supported Christ Hospital during this difficult process and to express my appreciation to the NJDHSS and the New Jersey Attorney General for their efforts and oversight in this process.
