Event: Free Glaucoma Screenings

Event: Go Red for Women
The American Heart Association's national campaign for Women's Heart Health Awareness
Date: Friday, February 1st

Event: Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers, a Two-part Series
Presenter: Michelle Foster-Carter, Senior Community Outreach Specialist, Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter
Dates: Part One: Monday, February 18th,
Part Two: Monday, February 25th
Time: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

Recently, the hospital participated at the following community outreach events:
2012
June:
In conjunction with the city of Union City, we participated in a community outreach at the Jose Marti School in Union City where we provided information about the hospital and the Counseling and Resource Center.
In conjunction with the North Hudson Community Action Corporation, we participated in a community outreach at Washington Park in Union City. We provided information about the hospital and the Counseling and Resource Center.
July:
In conjunction with Horizon Health Center, we participated in a community outreach on Bergenline Avenue in Jersey City. General information about the hospital, the maternity unit, and prostate treatment services were provided to the event’s attendees.
September:
Cholesterol Screenings were provided to the public free-of-charge.
Free Depression Screenings. Sponsoring in conjunction with Save Latin America, we participated at an outreach at the Family Cultural, Health, and Wellness Carnival at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen.
Legs for Life Screenings. Peripheral Artery Disease screenings were provided to the public free-of-charge.
October:
Mind and Body Awareness Outreach. This outreach addressed attitudes and practices for living a healthier life. Included in the event were blood pressure, body mass indexing, cholesterol, and depression screenings.
November:
Diabetes and Cholesterol Screenings were provided to the public free-of-charge.
Alzheimer's Awareness Discussion presented by Michelle Foster-Carter, Senior Community Outreach Specialist, Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter was provided to the public free-of-charge.
December:
