Christ Hospital School of Radiography
The Field of Radiography
A radiologic technologist, radiographer, is a professional in the medical field specifically trained to produce various types of radiographic images to aid in diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The radiographer serves as an important part of the medical profession which contributes to the welfare of the community.
As with all health care professionals, the radiographer focuses on providing excellent and unbiased patient care by maintaining high standards of quality. The radiographer accomplishes this by integrating science and technology with compassion and understanding. Student radiographers learn to incorporate their independent judgment with interpersonal skills needed to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds.
The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology as recognized by the State of New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency, Trenton, New Jersey.
