Welcome
The faculty and staff of the Christ Hospital School of Radiography wish to extend to you a warm welcome to our 24-month educational program. Knowledgeable, creative and concerned educators provide a stimulating, supportive, disciplined and cooperative environment for your mental, physical, moral and social potentials. Students admitted to this program are provided with a balance of academic subjects and technical courses, enabling them to become highly trained professionals capable of rendering quality health care. The objective of the program is to produce graduates who possess strong technical knowledge and skills along with the academic courses necessary to pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Examination (ARRT). The program includes all phases of radiologic technology to insure that professional standards of radiologic technology are met. The curriculum has been developed in accordance with the criteria set forth by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and the accreditation standards of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
Career opportunities include different areas of radiography, such as pediatric radiography, industrial radiography, mobile radiography, quality assurance (QM), computerized axial tomography (CT), mammography (M), or magnetic resonance imaging (MR). Radiologic Technologists with additional education may branch off into other areas of practice such as: nuclear medicine, radiation therapy or ultrasound. Other professional opportunities exist in radiology administration, education, or in applications and/or commercial sales.
The Christ Hospital School of Radiography is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology as recognized by the State of New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency, Trenton, New Jersey.
